The Assam Public Service Commission has released the notification for Assistant Engineer recruitment under the public health Engineering department of Assam. A total of 264 posts for APSC Assistant Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, and Chemical) have been released. the candidates can apply from 6th November to 5th December 2023. Educational Qualification :
Post-wise Educational Qualification required for various Assistant Engineer (Civil/Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical), under Public Health Engineering are as follows:.
Assistant Engineer (Civil) under PHED = B.E/B.Tech in Civil Engineering from any Institute recognized by AICTE
Assistant Engineer (Mechanical) under PHED = B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from any Institute recognized by AICTE
Assistant Engineer (Electrical) under PHED = B.E/B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from any Institute recognized by AICTE
Assistant Engineer (Chemical) under PHED = B.E/B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from any Institute recognized by AICTE
Age Limit :
The applicant shall not be less than 18 years or more than 38 years of age as on 01-01-2023.
The upper age limit is relaxable as follows.
- 5 years for SC/ST candidates, i.e. upto 43 Years
- 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates. Upto 41 Years as per govt. Notification ABP 6/2016/9 dated Dispur the 25th April 2018.
- For Ex-Servicemen, the Maximum age shall be 50(fifty) years as on 01/01/2023 for unreserved category, relaxable further 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST Candidates.
- 10 years for PwBD candidates.
The age of the candidates will be calculated on the basis of the Claas X/ Class XII Examination admit Card/Passed Certificate/ Marksheet issued by a recognized Central/State Board/Council where Age/ Date of Birth(DOB) is clearly reflected.
No other document shall be accepted in lieu of the above mentioned documents for age proof.

- Recent Passport Size Photograph (Minimum Size: 50KB and Maximum Size: 200KB and not older than 3 months)
- Scanned Signature of the candidate (Minimum Size: 50KB and Maximum Size: 200KB)
- Other relevant documents (Educational qualification, Marksheet, Caste Certificates, Work Experience certificates/relieving letters etc.)
